Grief Support at Hospice of Southern Illinois acknowledges the intricate and often overwhelming emotions that accompany the loss of a loved one or close friend. Our Bereavement Counselors offer compassionate assessment and tailored support to primary caregivers following the passing of each patient in our care program. Whether through in-home visits, telephone consultations, or educational resources, we extend a comforting presence and a listening ear to those navigating the grieving process. Leveraging our extensive network of community resources, including grief support services, we strive to provide comprehensive assistance tailored to individual needs. Moreover, our Bereavement team stands ready to facilitate coordination with the patient's and families' faith community upon request, respecting and honoring their spiritual and lifestyle preferences throughout the journey of healing.
