Park Shelters are now available to rent. Permits are available for the park shelters at Beaver Ponds Park, Victor Square Park, Oneka Lake Park, Heritage Ponds Park, Val Jean Park, Diamond Point Park, and Oak Shore Park. You may purchase a permit granting priority use of a park shelter for $5. To pick up a permit, visit Hugo City Hall during business hours. The shelter at Lions Park may be reserved by contacting the Hugo Lions Club. The outdoor pavilion at Hanifl Fields Athletic Park is available on a first-come, first-served basis only.
The City of Hugo has three Community Rooms available to rent:
- The Oneka Room at City Hall (14669 Fitzgerald Ave. N.)
- The Rice Lake Center at Public Works (6900 137th St. N.)
- The Gathering Room at Hanifl Fields Athletic Park (7032 137th St. N)
If you are interested in renting one of the rooms, please review the Public Facility Policy and submit a rental application to Hugo City Hall. The rental fees are as follows:
Residents $100 (per event)
Non-residents $200 (per event)
Homeowners Associations $100 (per year)
In addition to the fee, a damage deposit must be received at the time the reservation is made. The damage deposit is $100. If alcohol is being served, a damage deposit of $500 is required.
