The PSS2000 Mater Pneumatic Scarifier is an essential tool for research and repetitive laboratory work, specifically designed to handle small seed samples efficiently. This versatile equipment can operate as both a scarifier and a debearder, adapting to different processing needs with its interchangeable liners. When equipped with an abrasive liner, it serves as a scarifier, while the inclusion of a smooth-tempered steel insert transforms it into a debearder. The compact unit has a capacity of up to 3 grams and includes a quarter-turn valve with a ¼ NPT inlet, a pressure gauge, and packs of abrasive liners and tempered steel inserts. It requires an external compressed air source of at least 75 psi (5 bar) and a user-furnished hose. The dimensions of the unboxed unit are 6x6x8 inches, weighing 5 lbs, and it is slightly larger and heavier when double-boxed.
